Nineteen Ninety Nine was filmed in one ideal location over two epic weekends. Written and directed by Grace Uther, the film is an excursion back in time to the night the world was going to end... December 31st, 1999. It was rumoured that the world's computer systems had not been programmed to handle the clocks ticking over to the new millennium at midnight. This could mean chaos for banks, planes, power stations and the military.... or, not. Nobody was too sure. Some people stocked up on supplies in case it was the apocalypse. Some thought Jesus was coming back. Others just wanted to quote that classic Prince track on repeat.
One thing's for certain, this film had an amazing cast & crew! A huge thanks to the incredible art department, headed by Production Designer Jessica Ross, and to the talented Miriama Gossow, Costume Designer for recreating the era so beautifully. Have a peek at the fun behind the scenes here. |
